Linda M. Rodríguez is the Head of The Fellowship Initiative (TFI) and leads the youth employment strategy for Global Philanthropy at JPMorgan Chase & Co. Developed by the firm in 2010, TFI prepares young men of color for academic and professional success. Since 2014, Linda has led the successful expansion of TFI to four markets: Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, and New York City. She also oversees the $17 million summer youth employment portfolio and other major investments in creating opportunities for youth.
Prior to joining JPMorgan, Linda served as an Assistant Commissioner at the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD), New York City’s youth development funding agency, which funded the nation’s largest out-of-school time (OST) system and the City’s youth employment system. While leading DYCD’s capacity building department, Linda oversaw technical assistance services for hundreds of youth organizations and organized the City’s first OST STEM-themed professional development conference.
For twenty years, Linda has worked for leading national youth and workforce development organizations, including The Afterschool Corporation/ExpandED, Seedco, Community Service Society of New York and The Posse Foundation. She has also authored several articles and resource guides for the field.
Linda earned her Master’s degree at the University of Virginia and her Bachelor’s degree at Wesleyan University. As the first person to complete college in her family, Linda is proud to contribute to the firm’s efforts to expand economic opportunities for youth.
